Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a procurement specialist for the SPL5 project in the Sabine Pass area. The role focuses on developing and preparing master purchase Pro-forma documents with legal and commercial terms, and translating terms across engineering, finance, and logistics inputs.

The incumbent will manage supplier relationships, ensure compliance with the project’s sourcing strategy, and oversee procurements from development through closure, including backcharges and claims.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• High School/GED listed as minimum education in the posting.
• Proficiency in forming and administering purchase orders, and understanding procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks involved in the formation and administration of purchase orders.
• Communicates with suppliers and Bechtel personnel to establish clear requirements and ensure performance to PO terms and conditions.
• Prepares bidder pre-qualifications, bidder lists, negotiation plans, bid solicitations, bid analysis, and award recommendations.
• Understands and executes work in accordance with the project's sourcing strategy and vendor approvals.
• Ensures appropriate approval authorities are obtained prior to commitments.
• Accounts for project schedule in pre-award and post-award procurement activities.
• Maintains records management integrity for assigned work.
• Prepares and organizes procurement meetings and notes for clarity and action.
