Job summary

Turner & Townsend Energy & Natural Resources is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our Houston team with up to 20% travel to Eunice, New Mexico. You will manage the full procurement process for utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS projects, interface with clients and consultants, and lead RFPs and contract negotiations.

The role requires a minimum of 7 years in procurement/commercial roles with EPC/BOP experience, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of HV interconnection and civil/site

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of procurement or commercial experience in utility-scale solar, wind, or BESS, including EPC or BOP contracting.
• Demonstrated experience running competitive RFPs, bid leveling, and contract negotiation for construction scopes.
• Working knowledge of HV interconnection, civil, and site preparation scopes, and of plant EPC interface management.
• Experience with ECI, PCSA, and unit rate and quantity true-up structures.
• Knowledge of local and regional civil and clearing contractors in active markets.

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of the full procurement process from developing tender documents through to evaluation, negotiation and contract documentation and tracking
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages
• RFP issue and clarifications
• Attention to structure and detail
• Strong collaboration, negotiation skills, and reporting knowledge
• Plant EPC technical interface, plant EPC commercial matter
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable
