Job summary

Apave America Inc. in Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team. This full-time role supports operations by purchasing materials, equipment, and services and by maintaining accurate purchase orders in line with company policies.

You will evaluate vendor quotations, coordinate deliveries, match invoices to orders, and collaborate across departments to ensure timely procurement while upholding high standards of accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or related field preferred.
• 3 years of office experience preferred.
• 1 year of purchasing experience strongly preferred.
• Detailed purchase orders must be written accurately.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services to support operations.
• Create and maintain accurate purchase orders.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations and pricing.
• Coordinate deliveries, pricing, and order status with suppliers.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving records.
• Maintain purchasing files and documentation per policy.
• Assist with resolving discrepancies related to orders, invoices, and deliveries.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely procurement.
