Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead cost/value-add projections for existing and new products.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing and Engineering to drive strategic supplier relationships and multi-channel sourcing for both R&D and purchasing. Role requires strong technical understanding, cross-functional influence, and risk management with the ability to operate in a fast-paced tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with at least 5 years of related experience.
• Solid understanding of technical concepts and functions.
• Ability to interact with and gain cooperation from cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing and Product Planning Management.
• Experience managing risk in coordination with project teams and in supply chain strategies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Tactical and strategic purchase cost/value-add projections for existing and new products
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Marketing/Sales to develop and manage strategic supplier relationship
• Develop and drive End2End multi-channel sourcing strategy for R&D and strategic purchasing
• Systemize early stage business discussions for R&D and strategic purchasing
• Analyze/Report consumer electronics market trends and product infiltration strategy
• Cultivate strategic relationships with various North American organizations suited for discovering disruptive technology
• Orchestrate internal sourcing events for evaluation of potential suppliers
• Administer database utilization of potential suppliers
• Expand candidate company relationship management strategies for past, current, and future suppliers
• Identify sources of data for performance metrics, enhance process to collect data, and promote the collection efforts to outside organizations

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 5 years' of experience in related field.
• Solid understanding of technical concepts and functions
• Ability to interact and gain cooperation of various cross functional team members including Engineering, Marketing and Product Planning Management
• Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
• Proven track record of managing risk in coordination with project teams and experience in supply chain management strategies
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in NYC/California, is expected to be between $112,500 and $139,000.
