Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing for R&D and supplier relationships across North America.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing and Product Planning to develop End2End sourcing strategies and manage risk in multi-channel purchasing. Based in California, you will analyze market trends, drive supplier events, and expand relationships with potential suppliers while ensuring data quality and compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; minimum 5 years in a related field.
• Solid understanding of technical concepts and functions.
• Ability to interact with cross functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, and Product Planning Management.
• Typically works with minimal supervision and accepts general instructions on new assignments.
• Proven track record of managing risk in coordination with project teams and experience in supply chain management strategies.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tactical and strategic purchase cost/value-add projections for existing and new products.

• Administer database utilization of potential suppliers.
• Expand candidate company relationship management strategies for past, current, and future suppliers.
• Identify sources of data for performance metrics, enhance data collection processes.

The salary range for this role, for candidates based in NYC/California, is expected to be between $112,500 and $139,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
