What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare, issue, evaluate, and award complex Request for Proposals/Invitations for bids in compliance with Arizona State Procurement Code
- Conduct market research and analysis to gather and assess business requirements with subject matter experts
- Negotiate contractual agreements with vendors and manage post-award activities to ensure compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors on contractual matters and provide technical support to agency staff
- Utilize data analytics to assist in developing business strategies aimed at optimizing expenditures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional procurement experience
- Certification as a Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) or Professional Public Buyer (CPPB)
- Knowledge of State and Federal statutes related to procurement activities and contract administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex contracts and tasks simultaneously
