ReNuke Services is seeking a Nuclear Procurement Specialist for our client's site in Huntersville, NC.
Description:
Remote position but candidates must be within 60 miles of McGuire Nuclear Site in case onsite visits are needed.
Responsibilities include materials and/or services buying in support of power plant operations. Experience with Maximo/Emax and/or PASSPORT/CAS recommended. Must understand competitive bidding and bid evaluations. Responsible for contract terms, negotiations, and issuing contracts in the Supply Chain system following established processes and procedures.
This is an intermediate level role within the Nuclear Supply Chain organization. Employees at this level handle more complex problems with some specialization and receive general management guidance. The role involves managing procurement activities that meet Business Unit standards, developing advanced skills, and working more independently. Tasks include applying fundamental concepts to complex and varied work.
Key duties include:
- Providing advanced procurement services such as expediting, invoice resolution, pricing, inventory management, logistics, and exception resolution, utilizing Power Advocate for bid events with limited management guidance.
- Offering guidance on procurement processes, sourcing options, and materials management strategies including transfers and cost controls.
- Developing supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with agreements, and negotiating cost savings and inventory reductions.
- Fostering strong Business Unit and supplier relationships, responding to inquiries, and providing material status updates.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
- Analyzing supplier performance and managing reports.
- Supporting outages and attaining qualifications for procurement approvals.
