Job description

Role Overview

CAA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist will support procurement and supply chain activities. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services to meet organizational needs. This role will contribute to the organization's mission of advancing a circular economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand and fulfill procurement needs across departments.
  • Create and manage Purchase Requisitions to support state program needs and other organizational procurement requirements.
  • Monitor purchase orders and track contract expirations, ensuring timely follow-up and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports on purchasing activities.
  • Support supplier onboarding and ensure completeness of documentation.
  • Source environmentally responsible and cost-effective materials to support CAA's sustainability goals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with contract negotiation, supplier management, and driving procurement efficiency.
  • Strong data analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 with advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using procurement software; familiarity with Workday is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmentally preferred purchasing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts and process improvement methodologies.
