Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist will coordinate and execute the procurement of goods and services to meet organizational needs while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. They will also develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Operations: Manage purchasing activities, including the preparation and issuance of purchase orders and follow-up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, resolve issues, and monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and reliability
• Cost Control: Evaluate supplier proposals and analyze alternatives to achieve cost savings and value while maintaining quality standards
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, track procurement activities, and maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
• Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers, trends, and opportunities for cost optimization
• Problem-Solving: Address and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, or orders in a timely manner
• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (one year of experience equals one year of education) required
• Minimum of one years of experience in purchasing or procurement required
• Strong understanding of procurement principles and practices required
• Proficient in supplier negotiation and relationship management required
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities required
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
• Proficiency in microsoft excel required
• Proficiency in procurement software and Google workspace preferred
