Job summary

Specified Technologies Inc. (STI) is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist for our Somerville, NJ HQ. This hybrid role requires three days in the office weekly and a strong background in ERP/MRP optimization, vendor management, and supply chain risk mitigation.

You’ll work with Acumatica or SAP, manage BOM sourcing, and drive improvements across inventory and planning processes while leading supplier relationships and KPI performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master’s or MBA preferred.
• 5-10+ years of progressive procurement/sourcing experience in manufacturing.

Role Description

We’re seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist. The ideal candidate will maximize ERP/MRP utilization (specifically within Acumatica or SAP), build strong vendor relationships, mitigate supply chain risks, streamline inventory and operational workflows, and establish a best‑in‑class supplier relationship management program.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Somerville, New Jersey with an expectation of three days per week in the office.

Qualifications: Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

Experience

• 5-10+ years of progressive procurement/sourcing experience in manufacturing environments, specializing in Chemical procurement.

Skills

• Proven track record supporting NPI processes, bill of materials (BOM) sourcing, and material planning integration.
• Hands‑on experience with modern ERP systems (direct experience with Acumatica MRP/WMS is highly desirable).
• Strong contract negotiation, supplier performance management, financial acumen, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Certifications (Preferred): CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CSCP (APICS/ASCM), or Lean Six Sigma certification

Compensation - $90,000 - $115,000
