Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Procurement Specialist for on-site work in New York, NY. This contract role focuses on strategic sourcing and vendor management for the Ads department, negotiating favorable contracts, and building strong vendor relationships.

You will collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, and Security to align the procurement roadmap with business objectives and drive cost savings while maintaining compliance and efficiency across the procurement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of procurement experience with contract negotiations
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
• Korean language skills are a plus and may aid collaboration

Responsibilities

• You will play a vital role in driving strategic sourcing and vendor management for our Ads department.
• You will be responsible for securing the best possible deals on goods and services, ensuring efficient contract negotiation, and fostering strong relationships with key vendors.
• This role is a departmental leader who collaborates with IT, Finance, Legal, and Security to maintain, develop, and optimize the department’s strategic road map for vendors, ensuring that vendor onboarding and renewals continually support the overall business’s objectives.
• Continue to evolve and expand our comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with our Ad’s business objectives.
• Conduct market research and identify qualified vendors for required goods and services.
• Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts, ensuring optimal pricing and terms for Ads.
• Manage vendor relationships, building strong partnerships that deliver mutual benefit. Oversee the procurement process, ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.
• Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize spending. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments (Finance, Legal, etc.) to ensure a smooth procurement process.
• Stay updated on industry trends in procurement and sourcing best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement or a related field. Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts and securing cost savings.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Fluency in Korean is a plus.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiation techniques. Experience in managing and maintaining vendor relationships. Experience handling projects independently and efficiently, collaborating with multiple teams.
• Highly organized and adept at managing priorities and multitasking. Ability to navigate through ambiguity independently in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility, collaboration, resourcefulness, and positive attitude are the keys to success in this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong relationships.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, navigating complex privacy requirements, and contract negotiations.
• Highly organized and adept at managing priorities, multitasking, and working across a global team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with vendor relationship, customer onboarding, Field Service or administration preferred
• Experience with RFI/RFP procurement process end to end
• Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work in a cross-functional, high-demand environment
• Collaboratively work with other departments. Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with service network as well as upper management.
• Team player that is willing to learn and grow within the Care team.
• Strong Microsoft Excel (including use of pivot tables and formulas), Word, and PowerPoint skills required
