As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a vital role in coordinating supplier commitments, fabricated components, and internal production schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with fabricators and suppliers to confirm production schedules, lead times, and delivery commitments.
- Partner with internal production and planning teams to understand required dates, priorities, and schedule changes.
- Track fabricated items from purchase order release through completion and delivery.
- Communicate schedule risks, delays, and recovery plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute status reports covering fabrication progress, open orders, and delivery lead times.
- Review supplier quotations for alignment with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Create and issue accurate purchase orders reflecting approved pricing, quantities, lead times, and terms.
- Support procurement initiatives and special projects while adhering to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Must-Have Skills:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.
- At least three years of supply chain experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High accountability, integrity, and sound professional judgment.
- Willingness to work in the office at least three days per week.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience coordinating fabricated components, industrial equipment, or engineered-to-order products.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical quotations.
- Experience managing supplier performance, delivery schedules, and recovery plans.
- Knowledge of water treatment, industrial services, or related equipment markets.
- Familiarity with procurement reporting, purchase order management, and production planning processes.
