Job summary

ARETUM is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our government contracting team in the Washington, DC area. You will manage procurement processes, draft and review SOWs and IGCEs, and ensure conformity with federal regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, market research, and developing procurement strategies aligned with DHS and OMB guidelines, with travel to Washington, DC as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferably in finance or accounting.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• 10+ years of demonstrated experience required.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; exceptional writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document requirements analyses.
• Draft procurement request documentation including SOWs/IGCEs with business owners.
• Conduct and document alternatives analyses and market research.
• Conduct and document procurement risk assessments.
• Prepare and implement procurement strategies ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Develop Capital Planning documentation and manage processes per OMB Circular A-11 and DHS instructions.

As a Procurement Specialist at ARETUM, you will play a crucial role in managing our procurement processes and ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document requirements analyses
• Coordinate with business owners to draft procurement request documentation, including statements of work or performance work statements and IGCEs
• Conduct and document alternatives analyses as well as market research
• Conduct and document procurement risk assessments
• Prepare and implement procurement strategies, ensuring compliance with appropriate guidelines
• Develop Capital Planning and Investment Control documentation and manage the Capital Planning and Investment Control Process in accordance with OMB Circular A-11 as well as applicable DHS instructions

Requirements

• Salary Range{{:}} $150,000-$170,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including education, experience, qualifications, skills, and applicable contract requirements
• Master's Degree preferably in the fields of finance or accounting
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office required
• 10 years of demonstrated experience required
• Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities at once
• Must possess strong interpersonal communications and teamwork skills
• Must be an exceptional writer
• Enjoys a team-oriented environment, but able to function independently
• Takes ownership of projects and can prioritize assignments
• Ability/Willingness to Travel to Washington, DC occasionally
• Eligibility to receive DHS suitability required. Current DHS Suitability preferred
