Location: Remote (Candidates must reside within 60 miles of Huntersville, NC for occasional onsite requirements)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to support power plant operations within the Nuclear Supply Chain organization. This role operates at the intermediate level of the Procurement classification hierarchy and is ideal for professionals who can solve complex problems with minimal supervision and have a strong understanding of procurement processes in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement of materials and services in support of power plant operations.
  • Issue contracts and purchase orders in accordance with Supply Chain policies and procedures.
  • Conduct competitive bidding, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Utilize systems such as Maximo/Emax and/or PASSPORT/CAS for procurement activities.
  • Support planned and forced outages by tracking and expediting materials and parts.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, and logistics challenges.
  • Use Power Advocate for bid events with limited direction.
  • Provide guidance on sourcing strategies, cost control, and materials management.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure compliance and value-added services.
  • Analyze supplier performance and ensure adherence to contract terms.
  • Maintain daily, monthly, and quarterly procurement reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • High School diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Maximo/Emax and/or PASSPORT/CAS.
  • Strong understanding of competitive bidding and procurement best practices.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
