We are seeking a Procurement professional (entry to senior level) to oversee sourcing activities for complex engineering components. This position will play a key role in supplier strategy, commercial negotiations, cost management, and new product development while working closely with engineering, design, manufacturing, and external suppliers
Key Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing plans and supplier approaches based on business requirements, market conditions, supplier capabilities, and total cost
- Evaluate and select suppliers for new product and vehicle programs while balancing cost, quality, timing, technical capability, and capacity
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations covering component pricing, tooling, investments, and ongoing cost improvement
- Establish cost objectives and monitor supplier pricing throughout the product lifecycle
- Build productive long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and address commercial or performance issues as needed
- Coordinate purchasing activities across multiple product development projects and ensure key milestones are met
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve cost, processes, supplier performance, and overall purchasing efficiency
- Maintain accurate sourcing, pricing, and component information within purchasing systems
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support product launches and production requirements
- Participate in strategic procurement initiatives and provide guidance to less-experienced team member
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 0-5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, engineering, quality, sales, or a related function
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and cost information
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Automotive, manufacturing or supplier experience is a plus
