Job summary

Lumicity is seeking a Procurement Manager to own end-to-end sourcing across prototype and production programs, partnering with Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, and suppliers.

The role is hands-on and strategic, requiring experience in a manufacturing environment, supplier development, price/terms negotiation, and on-time material delivery to support production.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in manufacturing or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven end-to-end purchasing and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Own procurement activities for prototype and production builds.
  • Source, qualify, and manage suppliers across components, plastics, electronics, and machined parts.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, POs, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial agreements.
  • Expedite critical orders and address supply risks or production disruptions.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to understand specifications and production needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
  • Support quality processes including FAIRs and NCRs.
  • Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
  • Help establish scalable procurement processes, systems, and supplier networks.

Job description

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to own end-to-end sourcing and purchasing activities across prototype and production programs. This is a hands-on, strategic role working closely with Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, and external suppliers.

The ideal candidate has strong experience purchasing components in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working in a startup or high-growth setting. This person will source and develop suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, manage purchase orders, and ensure materials are delivered on time to support production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own procurement activities for prototype and production builds.
  • Source, qualify, and manage suppliers across components, fabricated parts, electronics, machined parts, plastics, wiring, and other manufactured goods.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, POs, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial agreements.
  • Expedite critical orders and proactively address supply risks or production disruptions.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to understand specifications, design requirements, and production needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions when required.
  • Support quality processes including FAIRs and NCRs.
  • Identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities.
  • Help establish scalable procurement processes, systems, and supplier networks as the company grows.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5–10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably within manufacturing, automotive, electronics, medical devices, or a similar environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end purchasing and supplier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel functions.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing teams.
Preferred:

Experience with PLM, ERP, or business intelligence platforms such as Arena, Onshape, Fishbowl, Retool, or similar systems.
