Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Associate for Procurement & Sourcing within its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and end-to-end procurement initiatives for PE portfolio companies across the U.S.

The candidate should have 2-4+ years in consulting or industry, with advisory experience and a background in direct/indirect categories. Heavy travel (up to 80%) is expected in a dynamic PE environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of consulting or industry experience
• Previous advisory experience from a top-tier strategy firm or Big-4 REQUIRED
• Preference for industry roles within Sourcing and Procurement functions
• Experience managing direct and/or indirect categories

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver project work streams for complex client engagements
• Identify, design, and implement procurement and sourcing solutions
• Develop and manage sourcing strategies aligned with growth and financial objectives
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, contract/pricing negotiations
• Create implementation plans to drive changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives
• Conduct analysis tailored to project scope
