Job summary

The Project Manager, Procurement at Suffolk Construction leads planning, procurement, and execution of complex supply chain initiatives across New York City projects, coordinating with Operations, Preconstruction, Estimating, and field partners to optimize cost, schedule, quality and risk.

Based in New York City, you will source materials, manage supplier performance, and implement scalable procurement processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in commercial construction, procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, project management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and management of supply chain strategies for assigned projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
• Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project schedules, budgets, operational priorities, and client objectives.
• Oversee the sourcing, procurement, logistics, and delivery of materials and equipment to support successful project execution.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate procurement, schedule, cost, quality, and supply chain risks while driving timely resolution of project challenges.
• Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to project leadership regarding procurement status, budget performance, supplier activity, and schedule impacts.
