Job summary

Kelly Services is hiring a Sourcing Specialist II / Procurement Project Manager to support an industry-leading diesel engine manufacturer in Columbus, IN. This onsite role requires coordinating procurement projects, managing stakeholder communications, and driving cost-saving initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a supply chain degree and strong project-management, procurement, and cross-functional collaboration skills to keep initiatives on schedule and compliant with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in supply chain management or related field
• Project-management skills to track milestones and coordinate items
• Procurement knowledge including purchase orders and supplier management
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions
• Ability to organize project information and prepare concise updates for leaders
• Understanding of compliance in sourcing and purchasing

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate procurement project activities, meetings, and status updates
• Maintain accurate project records including part numbers, savings, owners, and approvals
• Track milestones, identify overdue items, and follow up with owners to get work back on schedule
• Coordinate project readiness by tracking engineering-resource assignments, reviews, and next steps
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and PMO to move approvals forward
• Support cost‑saving business cases by maintaining tariff‑savings templates and validating assumptions with Finance and Sourcing
• Compile project status, completed projects, savings, and future cost‑saving opportunities for leadership reviews
• Support sourcing and purchasing activities including supplier research, price benchmarking, market analysis, process improvement, and source selection
• Evaluate suppliers and purchasing options for cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and total cost of ownership
• Support supplier relationships and contract activities, ensuring compliance in procurement processes
