Kelly Services is seeking a Sourcing Specialist II / Procurement Project Manager to support an industry-leading diesel engine manufacturer in Columbus, IN. The role focuses on moving procurement projects, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering clear progress updates.

You’ll manage records, track milestones, collaborate across Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and PMO, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives. Onsite schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., for a 6–12 month assignment.

Qualificações

• Degree in supply chain or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate procurement project activities, meetings, action items, and status updates.
• Maintain accurate project records, including part numbers, savings details, project owners, and approval references.
• Track project milestones, identify overdue items, and follow up with owners on plans to get work back on schedule.
• Coordinate project readiness by tracking engineering-resource assignments, required reviews, open questions, and next steps.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and the project-management office to move pending approvals forward.
• Support cost-saving business cases by maintaining tariff-savings templates and validating assumptions with Finance and Sourcing.
• Compile project status, completed projects, savings, and future cost-saving opportunities for leadership reviews.
• Support sourcing and purchasing activities, including supplier research, price benchmarking, market analysis, process improvement, and source selection.
• Help evaluate suppliers and purchasing options for cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and total cost of ownership.
• Support supplier relationships and contract activities, and help ensure procurement procedures and compliance requirements are followed.

This role is ideal for a collaborative, organized professional who can keep procurement projects moving, coordinate stakeholders, and provide clear updates on progress, approvals, and savings opportunities.

Job details

• Pay: Up to $32.59 per hour
• Assignment length: 6 months to 1 year
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Work arrangement: Onsite Columbus, IN

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• A college or university degree in supply chain management or a related field; candidates with a degree in another discipline and relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Project-management skills and the ability to track milestones, coordinate action items, and keep projects moving.
• Procurement knowledge, including familiarity with purchase orders and supplier management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across functions and with varied stakeholders.
• The ability to organize project information, analyze details, and prepare concise updates for leaders.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and an understanding of the importance of compliance in sourcing and purchasing.

Preferred:

Experience with purchase orders, supplier management, sourcing processes, supplier contracts, or cost-saving initiatives.

Interview process
