Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Sourcing Specialist II / Procurement Project Manager to support an industry-leading diesel engine manufacturer. The role is onsite in Columbus, IN, with pay up to $32.59 per hour and a 6–12 month assignment.

You will lead procurement projects, coordinate stakeholders, and drive cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a supply chain or related degree, strong project-management skills, and experience with purchase orders and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong project-management skills and ability to coordinate milestones and action items.
• Procurement knowledge including familiarity with purchase orders and supplier management.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to organize project information and prepare concise updates for leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate procurement project activities, meetings, action items, and status updates.
• Maintain accurate project records including part numbers, savings, owners, and approvals.
• Track milestones, identify overdue items, and follow up on plans to regain schedule.
• Coordinate readiness by tracking engineering-resource assignments, reviews, questions, and next steps.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, and PMO to move approvals forward.
• Support cost-saving business cases by maintaining tariff-savings templates and validating assumptions with Finance and Sourcing.
• Compile project status, savings, and future cost-saving opportunities for leadership reviews.
• Support sourcing and purchasing activities including supplier research, price benchmarking, market analysis, process improvement, and source selection.
• Help evaluate suppliers and purchasing options for cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and TCO.
• Support supplier relationships and contract activities, ensuring procurement procedures and compliance.
