Job summary

Flow Control Group in South Burlington, VT is seeking a Purchasing Associate to enter, track, and manage purchase orders with vendors. You will coordinate with vendors, order management, and engineering to keep customers informed about order status.

Key duties include creating and approving POs, monitoring shipments, expediting issues, resolving invoice discrepancies with accounting, and maintaining stock levels to support daily business.

Responsibilities

• Create, review, approve, and send Purchase Orders to vendors.
• Monitor all orders placed with vendors and update status.
• Contact vendors by phone or email to expedite, cancel, or amend a PO.
• Use shipping information to update delivery status.
• Create Item Fulfillments for Drop Ship POs and Sales Orders.
• Collaborate with Order Management and Engineering to resolve issues slowing customers.
• Work with Shipping to ensure all packages/items are received and tracked.
• Assist Accounting in resolving invoice discrepancies and fees.
• Preferred Stock Level Management (PSL) to maintain proper stock levels.
