Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Procurement/Project Coordinator to support an engineering team building automated manufacturing equipment for fiber optic products used in AI data centers. The role sits at the intersection of project management, procurement, supply chain, and engineering, ensuring materials are ordered, delivered, and tracked to keep machine builds on schedule.

Qualifications

• Procurement, purchasing, supply chain in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Managing purchase orders, suppliers, and inventory.
• Ability to read BOMs.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders and requisitions using ERP systems such as SAP
• Track materials, inventory, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for machine builds
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, lead times, and order status
• Expedite critical components to prevent project delays
• Support receiving and verification of incoming materials
• Maintain project documentation, engineering revisions, and certifications
• Track project schedules and provide status updates to stakeholders
• Resolve supplier, shipment, inventory, and invoice issues
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams throughout the project lifecycle
