Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking a Procurement/Project Coordination professional to support an engineering team building automated manufacturing equipment for a fiber optic product in the AI data center sector.

You will work with engineers, suppliers, and warehouse teams to ensure materials are ordered, delivered, and tracked on time so machine builds stay on schedule. Strong ERP and BOM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Project Coordination within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience managing purchase orders, suppliers, and inventory.
• Ability to read and work with Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders and requisitions using ERP systems such as SAP
• Track materials, inventory, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for machine builds
• Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, lead times, and order status
• Expedite critical components to prevent project delays
• Support receiving and verification of incoming materials
• Maintain project documentation, engineering revisions, and certifications
• Track project schedules and provide status updates to stakeholders
• Resolve supplier, shipment, inventory, and invoice issues
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams throughout the project lifecycle
