Job summary

Flexport seeks a Senior Manager, Procurement & Procure-to-Pay to direct corporate indirect and warehouse spend, orchestrate daily P2P operations, and build processes for better terms and cost control.

You’ll manage a team of five to ten, partner with Finance, Legal, and business leaders, and leverage AI/automation to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining strong controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Proven results and increasing responsibility in procurement, finance, operations, or related field.
• Experience leading and developing people, setting expectations, and addressing performance issues.
• Strong commercial judgment: ability to negotiate, weigh tradeoffs, influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team: set priorities, coach team members, maintain high standards.
• Build clear purchasing and approval processes for indirect and warehouse spend.
• Lead vendor negotiations with business owners to improve pricing and terms.
• Maintain contracts, commitments, and renewal dates; coordinate with Legal to address risks.
• Own purchasing approvals, invoice processing, and payments with Accounting and Treasury.
• Maintain controls including approvals, separation of duties, and preventing duplicate payments.
• Collaborate with budget owners to curb unnecessary spending and track savings.
• Track savings, renewal readiness, invoice accuracy, and processing times; fix root causes.
