Job summary

US1072 Buckhead Meat Company is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing aligned with inventory needs while meeting cost and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with Sales and Suppliers to ensure timely pickup and receipt of products.

Responsibilities include daily PO reviews, pricing verification, and maintaining optimum inventory levels. Strong MS Office skills and AS400 experience are preferred, with 2 years of purchasing or food distribution experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years purchasing or food distribution experience required.
• Foodservice distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Buy Guide/Ordering – Reviews guide daily and place PO’s as needed with suppliers. Ensure accuracy of amount, freight, price and dates.
• Daily Reports – Review and act to maintain proper inventory levels using system reports (e.g., Out of Stock, Over-allocated).
• Confirmations – Verify all POs for pricing, quantity, freight and dates.
• Inventory Management – Use weekly reports to achieve optimal inventory, dated product, and returns; coordinate with inland logistics for on-time deliveries.
• Item/Vendor Maintenance – Update item/vendor data in the system (pricing, freight, ship points).
• Communication daily with the Sales team
