Job summary

Catelli Brothers Family of Foods is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee purchasing, logistics, and inventory for meat products in the U.S. She/he will monitor market trends, manage supplier relationships, and support sales with market insights.

The role focuses on international procurement, SQF compliance, and coordination with QA, logistics, and production. Strong negotiation, Excel, and ERP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in purchasing, supply chain or procurement in meat industry.
• Experience with inventory management systems and forecasting tools.
• International procurement experience, esp. AU, NZ and SA.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing forecasts from historical usage and trends.
• Maintain optimal stock levels with min/max thresholds for imports.
• Anticipate forward sales to ensure inventory visibility.
• Represent Catelli Brothers at industry conferences such as MICA.
• Ensure import documentation for SQF audits and supplier certificates.
• Prepare weekly market reports on lamb/beef imports and trends.
• Coordinate with production for arrivals and production planning.
• Build sustainable procurement programs with suppliers.
