Job summary

Dakota Matting & Environmental Solutions is seeking a Procurement Manager - Matting to oversee procurement, quoting, and sale of mats, building a robust supplier network and optimizing costs across regions. You will monitor asset depreciation, manage ERP-based inventory, and drive value through lifecycle management.

The role requires strong negotiation, ERP skills (Dynamics 365), and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure mats meet specifications and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing within timber products, access matting, construction, or equipment rental.
• Experience selling or marketing used assets is a plus.
• Strong ERP skills, ability to report on inventory and depreciation with advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop mill and broker network by sourcing, vetting, and onboarding suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, volumes, lead times, and payment terms with mills and brokers.
• Support regional bids with mat pricing, availability, and lead times; standardize quoting process across regions.
• Oversee mat life-cycle processes from purchase to resale and retirement.
• Maintain ERP records and deliver regular inventory and depreciation reports to leadership.
