Dakota Matting & Environmental Solutions is seeking a Director of Logistics & Inventory to lead freight and inventory operations across regions. You will set policy, negotiate with carriers, and drive cost reductions while hands-on in daily operations and KPIs.

The role emphasizes enterprise process-building with the ability to execute personally, including negotiations, reporting, and partner collaboration with executives to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in logistics with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to build enterprise processes, policies, and KPIs, and negotiate carrier rates.
• Hands-on with TMS and ERP; advanced Excel skills.
• Strong executive communication and willingness to travel and support mobilizations.

Responsibilities

• Set and govern carrier network strategy across regions; onboard carriers and approve new ones.
• Lead rate negotiations, rebates, and payment terms; manage key carrier relationships.
• Design and own standardized enterprise freight quoting and lane-award processes.
• Provide freight quotes and cost guidance to internal teams for bids and mobilizations.
• Oversee inventory reporting, cycle counts, and reconciliations; ensure accurate regional KPIs.
