Job summary

Forever Cheese in New York City seeks a hands-on Manager, Procurement to lead purchasing operations, supplier management, and strategic sourcing initiatives. This role oversees a team of three direct reports and will help optimize procurement processes while supporting rollout of new AI-driven procurement tools across the organization.

The right candidate will be onsite four days a week in NYC, drive RELEX adoption, collaborate with Finance and Operations to forecast needs, and strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field required.
• 3+ years procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience; 5-10 years total preferred.
• Leadership experience managing direct reports; able to manage a small team.
• Experience with ERP systems and willingness to learn RELEX and E21.
• Exposure to AI-powered tools and process automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals.
• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities and supplier relationships.
• Learn and roll out RELEX and AI-driven procurement tools across the team.
• Analyze processes to identify improvements and cost reductions.
• Forecast purchasing needs with Finance and Operations; monitor stock-out risk.
• Track vendor performance and ensure policy compliance.
• Create KPIs for purchasing, inventory, supplier performance, and cost reductions.
