Job summary

Forever Cheese in New York City is seeking a hands-on Manager, Procurement to lead purchasing operations, supplier management, and strategic sourcing initiatives. This role oversees a team of three and drives adoption of AI-powered procurement tools across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years in procurement, strong leadership, ERP experience, and fluency in English (Italian or Spanish a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 3+ years in procurement or supply chain; 5–10 years overall.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Fluent in English; Italian or Spanish preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and learning RELEX/E21.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals.
• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities and supplier relationships.
• Learn and drive adoption of RELEX for procurement.
• Identify process improvement opportunities.
• Forecast needs with Finance and Operations to avoid stockouts.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure policy compliance.
• Create and track KPIs for purchasing, inventory and cost reduction.
