Job summary

Forever Cheese, a leading importer, manufacturer, and distributor, seeks a hands-on Manager of Procurement in New York City. You will lead a team of three, drive strategic sourcing, adopt RELEX AI tools, and optimize purchasing processes while collaborating with Finance and Operations to forecast needs and mitigate stock issues.

The role emphasizes supplier relationships, KPI development, and process improvements in a growing specialty foods company. On-site work four days per week in NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 3 procurement professionals.
• Manage day-to-day purchasing activities and supplier relationships.
• Learn how to use RELEX and ensure adoption by team members to improve purchasing efficiency and decision-making.
• Analyze and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and leadership to forecast purchasing needs and communicate stock-out/spoilage risks.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain compliance with policies.
• Create and track KPIs related to purchasing, inventory, supplier performance, and cost reduction.
