Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to support capital projects procurement, ensuring timely, cost-efficient, compliant engagement of vendors, consultants, and services. You will shape sourcing strategies, manage contracting workflows, and drive competitive procurement activities to keep projects moving forward.

  • Experience leading procurement activities aligned to project requirements, timelines, and risk.
  • Experience coordinating RFx processes end-to-end with supplier panels and rate cards.
  • Proven ability to ensure compliance with Master Service Agreements and project-specific SOWs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead RFx processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and supplier panels.
  • Coordinate procurement reviews and approvals, tracking decisions to closure.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage purchase orders and invoicing across projects.
  • Support procurement for professional services and construction-related resources.

Job description

JSG is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to support capital projects procurement—helping ensure the right vendors, consultants, contractors, and services are engaged on time, cost-effectively, compliantly, and with quality and risk controls in place. In this role, you’ll partner closely with project and stakeholder teams to shape sourcing strategies, manage contracting workflows, drive competitive procurement activities, and maintain accurate governance and reporting that keeps projects moving forward.This is an immediate need and a hybrid contingent opportunity for local candidates within driving distance of our offices in New York, NY; Raleigh, NC; San Jose, CA; or Dallas, TX.Pay $80/hourRequired SkillsProven ability to manage procurement activities in line with organizational policies, sourcing guidelines, and contractual requirements (including Master Services Agreements and project-specific Statements of Work)Experience supporting procurement and contracting strategies aligned to project requirements, risk, timelines, and market conditionsAbility to coordinate procurement reviews/approvals, compile documentation, ensure submission completeness, and track decisions/actions through approvalHands-on capability across procurement lifecycle activities, including competitive bidding, supplier selection, risk analysis, contract negotiation, purchase orders, and invoicingExperience running RFx processes (RFI / RFQ / RFP), including supplier panel and service rate card initiativesAbility to procure professional services, construction-related services, and other project delivery resourcesStrong working knowledge of construction contract administration (including items such as liens and AIA contracts)Excellent communication and presentation skills; highly articulate with a clear, analytical approach to problem-solving and strong decision-makingProficiency with required tools/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Windows OSExperience with Primavera or Microsoft Project (including Microsoft Projects)Nice to Have SkillsExperience evaluating alternative sourcing opportunities (local/regional/global) to improve value, quality, resilience, and speed to marketBackground supporting supplier onboarding and coordinating with internal teams and third-party service providers to gather supplier informationExperience providing procurement guidance, training, and ongoing support to project managers and stakeholdersFamiliarity with implementing project-specific contracting procedures using industry best practicesExperience advising on risk mitigation measures (e.g., insurance requirements, confidentiality agreements, performance bonds)Preferred Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field10+ years of relevant experienceOther RequirementsProfessional membership required: RICS, AACE, or another relevant professional bodyJohnson Service Group, Inc.
