Job summary

The Mail and Supplies Specialist at Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago is responsible for procurement, inventory management, and office support within Milwaukee County. You will ensure proper ordering, track deliveries, and liaise with the Milwaukee Division of Purchasing.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, professionalism, and community engagement, with responsibilities spanning vendor contact, data collection, and coordinating day-to-day operations for Central Services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED minimum.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional procurement practices and services according to the procedures of Milwaukee County.
• Maintain proper levels of inventory, prepare, and submit supply orders, and receive orders.
• Monitor, verify, and track deliveries, packing slips, and invoices.
• Contact Milwaukee Division of Purchasing for price/quote estimates.
• Contact vendors for office equipment repair/maintenance and problem resolution.
• Collect data and prepare reports as assigned.
• Maintain standards of confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Effectively plan and manage own work to reliably complete routine job responsibilities and special assignments.
• Problem Solving: General supervision, with work regularly reviewed by manager or senior coworker.
• Technical Skill: Practical, working knowledge of tasks, responsibilities, policies, and procedures.
• Community Engagement: serve as an ambassador for Goodwill in the wider community.
• Responsible for completing other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist in coordinating day-to-day operations and training/development programs of Central Services as directed.
• Assist with conference room scheduling and event planning.
• Accept mail and packages; sort and redistribute as required.
• Check supplies at copy stations located throughout the building and replenish as needed.
