Job summary

Ultimate USA Transportation Equipment Inc. in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced procurement specialist to lead material and component sourcing for customer projects.

You will manage project procurement and logistics, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and optimize BOMs in our ERP system while negotiating supplier contracts.

The role requires 5+ years in technical procurement, international logistics, fluent English, willingness to travel, and a hands-on, structured approach.

Qualifications

• Completed commercial or technical education, ideally with a focus on Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in technical procurement, logistics or supply chain management.
• Experience managing international supply chains and working with freight forwarders and transportation service providers.
• Strong negotiation skills and a confident, professional manner when dealing with suppliers and service providers.
• Structured, independent and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central) and MS Office.
• Business-fluent English skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the procurement of materials and components for customer projects.
• Manage and monitor all project-related procurement and logistics activities, including coordination of domestic and international transportation.
• Coordinate closely with Project Management, Quality Management, Production, Production Planning, logistics service providers and suppliers.
• Maintain and structure project-specific BOMs and assemblies within the ERP-system.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers, including price negotiations and supplier contract negotiations.

Ultimate USA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is part of a highly successful international group of companies with additional locations in Austria, Romania, Poland, Turkey, China and Australia.

We specialize in the development, sales and service of gangways, automatic door systems and interior fittings for rail vehicles and buses.

Your Responsibility:

• Independently manage the procurement of materials and components for customer projects

Your Profile:
