Job summary

Salzgitter AG is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive strategic initiatives and optimize our manufacturing supply chain. You will lead cross-functional projects, partner with Engineering, and develop sourcing strategies to support make-versus-buy decisions.

The role requires strong data analysis, experience managing procurement programs, and the ability to travel internationally to support global initiatives. Join a team focused on cost reduction and supply chain excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing, project management, or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data.
• Experience managing procurement projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Knowledge of forecasting, supply planning, and make-versus-buy analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel, ideally as a Key User.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to collaborate in an international network and travel internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Assembly, Engineering, and After-Sales teams on expedited procurement activities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Travel internationally as required to support projects, and business initiatives.
