Job summary

Division of Administration seeks an attorney to serve as legal counsel to the Office of State Procurement (OSP) and Office of General Counsel (OGC). The role handles complex procurement matters, contract reviews, and litigation before state and federal courts, reporting to the OSP General Counsel.

The incumbent will advise the CPO and participate in legislation, rules, and policy development while ensuring compliance with Louisiana procurement laws.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice law.

Responsibilities

• Advises the Chief Procurement Officer and OSP General Counsel in review and approval of contracts and procurement actions, including solicitations, evaluations, protests, and related issues.
• Represents OSP in court proceedings, mediations, and administrative matters.
• Drafts and reviews procurement documents, contracts, MOUs, and RFPs to ensure compliance with statutes and regulations.
• Supports legislation tracking, fiscal notes, and regulatory reviews impacting OGC/OSP.
