Job summary

Qualifications

We are hiring a Procurement Lead to be stationed in the US, responsible for building local PV supply chains and supporting our US manufacturing partners. If you have PV upstream procurement experience and strong cross-border supply chain risk management capabilities, welcome to connect and apply.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Lead seconded by our Corporate Supply Chain Center to the United States. In this role, you will own procurement execution and daily operational support for our US photovoltaic manufacturing sites (contract manufacturers & partner factories).

You will partner with the headquarters supply chain team to build and scale a resilient, cost-effective and compliant supply chain network covering the US and Southeast Asia, securing stable supply of key raw materials, auxiliary materials, production equipment and MRO inventory. Serving as the primary procurement liaison for our US manufacturing partners, you will align HQ resources with local operations to enable smooth ramp-up and sustained production of US PV facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end research, evaluation and strategic development of US local PV supply base and build a diversified supplier pipeline. Source US contract manufacturers and key material vendors, supplemented by mature Southeast Asian supply chains (Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand etc.) to strengthen supply assurance.


• Lead cross-functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Legal) to conduct supplier on-site audits, qualification reviews and ongoing performance management. Negotiate commercial terms with strategic suppliers, finalize agreements and lock capacity & pricing to improve cost competitiveness and supply resilience.


• Execute procurement activities against US plant production plans, release POs and track order fulfilment through delivery. Establish material shortage early warning systems, resolve disruptions including quality non-conformances, delivery delays and logistics issues to avoid production downtime. Partner with QA to drive supplier continuous improvement and meet incoming quality targets.


• Implement global procurement strategy, cost targets and compliance requirements from Group Supply Chain. Report regularly to HQ on North American market updates, supply chain status and risk alerts, and participate in global supplier governance. Collaborate with logistics teams to design international shipping, customs clearance and US inland transportation solutions, and respond rapidly to on-site factory material requests.


• Monitor US domestic content rules (IRA Domestic Content requirements), tariff frameworks and cross-border trade compliance to ensure full regulatory adherence. Conduct cost benchmarking between US and Southeast Asia, drive localisation cost reduction and operational efficiency gains. Optimize safety stock strategy for critical materials, balancing supply risk and working capital.


• Build, lead and develop the US local supply chain team covering recruitment, training and performance management. Roll out standardized SOPs aligned with corporate procurement management framework.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, International Trade or engineering disciplines.


• 5–7+ years’ hands‑on experience in supply chain, procurement or supplier management.


• Mandatory PV industry supply chain experience: solid knowledge of upstream PV supply chain including polysilicon, wafers, solar cells, plus auxiliary materials such as glass, encapsulant, silver paste and backsheet.


• Candidates with prior experience at US PV manufacturers or Southeast Asia PV supply chains are highly preferred.


• Deep familiarity with US & Southeast Asia PV supplier landscape, market dynamics and commercial practices; energy storage experience is a plus.


• Sound understanding of US import/export regulations, tariff rules, trade compliance and IRA provisions.


• Strong commercial negotiation, cost analysis and financial modelling capabilities. Proficient in Oracle ERP and Microsoft Office suite.


• Cross-cultural leadership with proven remote team management skills to align teams in China and the US. Quick risk assessment and contingency planning skills, with sensitivity to geopolitical and trade policy changes.


• Fluent in both Mandarin and English for business negotiation, report writing and daily cross-region communication.
