Job summary

Rozgoo is seeking a Procurement Lead to build and own Baseten's procurement function from scratch. You’ll design company-wide procurement workflows, establish policies, and partner with Finance, Legal, Security, and IT to scale across the organization.

This high-ownership role requires shaping processes, systems, and controls for a rapidly growing tech company. Based in San Francisco or New York, you will work in-person 3+ days a week to align teams, drive efficiency, and enable growth while

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive procurement experience at a high-growth tech company.
• Experience building or maturing a procurement function from the ground up.
• Experience running RFPs and vendor selection for multiple spend categories.
• Experience negotiating vendor contracts and strategic sourcing.
• Collaborates with Security, Compliance, Legal on vendor risk assessments.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and creating structure from none.
• Strong cross-functional partnership with Finance, Legal, IT, and business leads.
• Based in San Francisco or New York with 3+ days in-person per week.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Baseten's first company-wide procurement processes and workflows.
• Establish procurement policies (spend thresholds, approvals, bidding rules).
• Build scalable processes that minimize friction and accelerate buying.
• Define operating model and roadmap for the procurement function as it scales.
• Develop procurement systems and reporting across spend by category, vendor, and dept.
• Lead vendor onboarding, due diligence, and risk assessments with Security and Legal.
• Manage strategic sourcing, RFPs, and contract negotiations for business owners.
• Create a vendor management framework covering performance, risk, and renewals.
• Partner with Legal, Security, Compliance, IT to tailor workflows to teams.
