Job summary

Tractian Technologies Inc. is seeking a Head of Procurement to build the function from the ground up in a fast-growing hardware-software company.

You will own indirect and direct spend, design processes, and negotiate strategic deals with vendors across software, electronics, and logistics. You’ll partner with CFO and engineering to scale procurement operations while driving real savings and supply continuity.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in procurement or vendor management, building or rebuilding a function.
• Track record of delivering measurable savings and reducing risk.
• Experience managing full contract lifecycle across a large, diverse vendor base.
• Experience selecting and implementing procurement tooling.
• High-growth startup or scaleup experience; hardware/direct supply chains a big plus.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Engineering, Ops, Legal, and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Build the procurement function from scratch, process, policy, and tooling.
• Own end-to-end sourcing across direct and indirect spend, from intake to negotiation to contract.
• Negotiate hard and drive meaningful savings and better terms.
• Stand up vendor due-diligence and risk program for handling customer data and supply chains.
• Consolidate the vendor base; renegotiate or cut low-value relationships.
• Roll out procurement tooling that scales and partner with Engineering on sourcing components.
