Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Department of Computer Science seeks a Procurement Student Assistant to support the purchasing unit in the Gates Dell Complex. This student position offers hands-on experience in inventory management, data entry, and coordinating with faculty, staff, and students on order status.

Working 19 hours per week with a flexible schedule, you will assist with inventory processes, item tracking, database data entry, and inventory reporting.

Qualifications

• Reliable and organized.
• One year of clerical working experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory processes and procedures
• Assist the Purchasing Officer with inventory item tracking
• Assist the Purchasing Officer with database data entry
• Organize and maintain inventory collections and mailroom boxes
• Communicate with faculty, staff, and students regarding status updates on pending & received orders
• Assist with Inventory Reporting.
• Other duties as assigned
