Job summary

Sullivan Family Distribution Center is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing, inventory replenishment, and supplier communication to maintain product availability and operational efficiency.

Core duties include monitoring stock levels, generating purchase orders, coordinating inbound shipments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting vendor reviews and cost controls, with office-based DC duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field, or equivalent
• 1 year of purchasing/inventory experience or related work experience

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and execute replenishment plans to maintain optimal stock levels
• Generate, manage, and track purchase orders based on inventory requirements and demand
• Maintain regular communication with sales leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding orders and lead times
• Coordinate inbound shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouse teams
• Resolve receiving discrepancies, delays, and inventory variances
• Support vendor meetings and procurement reviews with data insights
• Analyze inventory trends to adjust replenishment and reduce stockouts
• Collaborate with finance on invoice discrepancies and PO reconciliation
• Maintain inventory and supplier records and performance metrics
• Ensure adherence to purchasing procedures and inventory controls
