The candidate should hold a BS in Forestry or related Natural Resources with 2+ years’ procurement experience, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be comfortable working in a team environment. A valid driver's license is required.

• BS in Forestry or related Natural Resource field with 2+ years procurement experience

• Solid knowledge of the timber industry and harvest operations
• Demonstrated ability to implement proper cruising techniques to evaluate timber opportunities

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

Responsibilities

• Identify and independently negotiate open market log purchases for Roseburg facilities
• Monitor log quality to ensure deliveries meet expectations
• Ensure sustainability requirements are met and best management practices are implemented
• Seek out and negotiate contracts for timber purchases, including estimating timber volume and value
• Coordinate and execute logging plans and timber marketing from assigned contract timber units
• Collaborate with Resources staff to leverage efficiency with internal business processes
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, landowners, and contract personnel
• Represent the company in the Forestry Community and stay informed about regional activities that may impact business
• Model company core values
• Other duties as assigned
