Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Procurement Expeditor in California to ensure timely material delivery, maintain inventory levels, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams. The role emphasizes resolving logistical issues and optimizing procurement processes.

The ideal candidate will have at least an AS/AA degree or equivalent, strong organizational skills, and experience in a manufacturing environment. Power BI familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• AS/AA Degree and/or at least 2 years of education, training, and experience in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to check purchase orders and maintain records.
• Power BI knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and anticipate shortages or excesses.
• Review purchase orders and delivery schedules for accuracy.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to prioritize orders and advise buyers of PO changes.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality and discrepancies with suppliers.
• Maintain records of material transactions and update inventory systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and reduce costs.
• Resolve shipping delays or damaged goods promptly.
• Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers to ensure smooth material flow.
• Assist in inventory management strategy development and implementation.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to pull in or push out POs.
• Other duties as assigned.
