Job summary

Los Angeles Metro is seeking a procurement professional to perform journey-level work purchasing materiel, supplies, and services to meet organizational goals through best practices. This position covers Sourcing, Expediting, Procurement, Supplier Management and Contracts, with a heavy workload creating purchase orders and contracts.

You will collaborate with clients, peers, suppliers and executive management, ensure orders align with Metro policies, prepare RFIs/IFBs, evaluate bids, negotiate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
• One year of relevant experience performing purchasing activities.
• Valid California Class C Driver License or transportation alternative.
• NCMA/APICS/ISM certification or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and processes requisitions for divisions using the enterprise purchasing system.
• Prepares RFIs, RFPs, and contracts in line with policies and regulations.
• Negotiates terms, evaluates bids, and selects vendors.
• Monitors vendor performance and ensures deliveries meet orders.
