Job summary

Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) is a not-for-profit real estate developer and property manager for the Yard, serving the City of New York. The Manager, Procurement & Contracts will lead the design of the organization’s first formal procurement function and oversee contract administration for professional services, construction, and vendor agreements tied to capital projects.

Working with Design & Construction, Property Management, Finance, and Legal, the role builds

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
3–5+ years of procurement, supply chain, contract administration, or related field
New York City capital budgeting and contract registration experience preferred
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
Experience with NYC FMS2/FMS3 and PASSPort; Yardi preferred

Responsibilities

Build and manage procurement processes, including scopes of work, evaluation criteria, and procurement timelines
Coordinate contract administration with multiple stakeholders and city agencies
Process and review contract documents, change orders, and payments
Submit funding drawdown requests and track funding availability
Maintain contract registrations and supplier documentation in relevant systems
