Job summary

Shimmick Corporation is seeking an experienced Procurement Contract Specialist to be based in the greater DFW or Austin, TX area. You will review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Shimmick policies while helping develop contracts aligned with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• Experience in heavy civil construction contracts preferred.
• Strong negotiation and contract administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration and communication of contractual terms from proposal through close-out and audit.
• Assist all departments in developing contracts within company policies.
• Prepare RFQs/ proposals, analyze quotes, select vendors, schedule deliveries, and follow up invoices.
• Formulate and compile contract packages for execution and documentation.
• Examine estimates and delivery schedules.
• Support procurement processes and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Apply purchasing policies, processes, and procedures knowledge.
• Manage subcontracted professional, construction, and general services.
• Negotiate favorable terms and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare RFPs, analyze quotes, select vendors, expedite deliveries, and track invoices.
• Demonstrates ability to apply professional concepts consistently.
