Job summary

San José Unified is seeking an Assistant Manager in the Procurement Department to oversee Facilities and Construction projects from inception to close-out, coordinating with districts, consultants, and local/state agencies under various public contract delivery methods.

You will update district programs, budgets, schedules, and standards, and help generate agreements, meeting records, and annual reports while supporting audits and compliance efforts to ensure student-centered operations.

Qualifications

• Good evaluation standing to be eligible for an interview (internal applicants only).

Responsibilities

• Oversees Facilities and Construction and manages construction projects from inception to close out as District Project Manager and Construction Manager across Public Contract Code methods.
• Updates District programs, agendas, budgets, schedules, and complex multi-year databases and District standards.
• Generates and executes services and lease agreements, maintains meeting documentation, prepares annual committee reports, and assists with annual performance audits.
