Job summary

Mesa Public Schools seeks a Supervisor - Procurement Specialist II - Construction to manage supplies, equipment, and services; oversee contracts; ensure compliance with USFR and procurement laws; train staff; and supervise procurement clerks.

The role focuses on bid processes, supplier negotiations, and cost containment while aligning with district policies and goals in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Materials Management.
• CPPB or CPPO certificate highly desired.
• Minimum three years’ purchasing experience.
• One to Three years’ supervisory or leadership experience.
• Public procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops specifications, scope of work, and bid documents.
• Conducts pre-bid conferences and prepares addenda.
• Reviews proposals for adherence and negotiates contracts.
• Drafts responses on contract awards and compliance issues.
• Manages multi-year contracts and monitors insurance requirements.
• Performs vendor evaluations, site visits, and negotiations.
• Communicates purchasing needs to stakeholders.
• Maintains records and inventory controls for audits.
