International Motors is seeking a Category Manager - Engine Components to join our Procurement Organization. In this role, you will lead sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations for a key engine components portfolio, partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, Program Management, Aftersales, Risk Management, and Supply Chain teams. This position is located onsite in Lisle, IL (relocation assistance is not offered). You will work a hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays.
As a strategic business leader, you will develop and execute category strategies that balance Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Sustainability (TQDCS) while supporting both current production and future product launches. You'll identify value creation opportunities, drive supplier performance, manage risk, optimize costs, and ensure supply continuity through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
The ideal candidate brings procurement or sourcing experience within automotive, manufacturing, commercial vehicle, or other complex engineered product environments, along with strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Additionally, a bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of purchasing/procurement experience, OR a master's degree with at least one year of purchasing/procurement experience, OR five or more years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience in lieu of a degree.
